What to expect in the Strength Area

Hammer Strength plate-loaded machines run on independent arms. Each side works on its own, imbalances show up straight away, and you can train heavy without needing a spotter.

For the big lifts there are four power racks, a lifting platform and Smith machines. Dumbbells go up to 50 kg, and cable towers cover isolation work.

Because no more than 300 members train here, you plan your session around your programme, not around which machines are free.

Questions about Strength

What does plate-loaded mean?

Machines you load with weight plates instead of a pin-selected stack. The movement is guided, but it feels very close to free weights.

Is there a lifting platform?

Yes, for deadlifts and Olympic variations, with bumper plates.
