Twelve weeks to your first race

A rough roadmap for beginners. At your trial session we adapt it to your level.

  1. Weeks 1–4

    Foundation

Three to four sessions a week: easy runs, basic leg and core strength, technique on the SkiErg and rower.

  2. Weeks 5–8

    Stations

Strength endurance with wall balls, lunges and carries. First run-plus-station combinations so your legs get used to the switch.

  3. Weeks 9–12

    Race simulation

Half and full simulations at race pace, pacing practice, and less volume in the final week.

Questions about HYROX training

Can I train for HYROX with you without being a member?

Start with a free trial session. After that, you can train 24/7 with a membership or use a day pass for individual sessions.

Which HYROX equipment do you have?

SkiErg, rowers, air bikes, a non-motorised curved treadmill, wall balls and open floor for lunges, carries and sled work.

How long before the race should I start?

As a beginner, plan for about twelve weeks. If you already run and lift regularly, six to eight weeks of focused preparation is enough.

Do I get a training plan?

If you like, a coach will build you a plan in personal training that works towards your race date.
